Lawsuit Filed to Stop the Worker Freedom Act from Taking Affect

Yesterday the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Oregon Industries filed a lawsuit to try to stop S.B. 519, the Worker Freedom Act, from taking effect. If you remember back to the spring, we worked hard to pass this bill to make sure you can't be fired or disciplined for asking not to sit through meetings about politics, religion or union organizing.

Apparently the Chamber thinks they have a right to fire you for asking not to sit through a meeting, unrelated to your work, on topics of personal belief or opinion.
