It's time for fair transportation in portland
The City of Portland is considering code changes to regulate Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) like Uber and Lyft. We believe that your voice as a driver matters and should be considered to make sure the structure works for TNC companies and drivers. We know that there are significant concerns from drivers and the community about fairness as it relates to every component of our transportation system, especially TNCs. As a city, we need to strive to ensure that advances in the transportation system don’t perpetuate inequities which have existed for decades.
That’s why the Oregon AFL-CIO and our allies are proposing a solution to ensure the voices of those who have been left behind are elevated. We are asking the City of Portland to establish a structure where Portland's transportation inequities can be analyzed and fixed through a transportation commission.
If you drive for Lyft or Uber in Portland, we want to hear from you.
