Why Join a Union?
What changes would you make to improve your working conditions?
Do you feel like your boss would listen to you if you pointed out a problem, made a recommendation, or asked for something better?
When working people stand together to form a union, we gain a voice in how decisions are made. As individuals, we don’t have enough power to influence how things are done at our jobs, but as a united group we can demand fair treatment, better compensation, healthy and safe workplaces, or protect full-time work, for example.
Unfortunately, all across America and across Oregon bosses put corporate interests before our prosperity. Some would say, “If you don’t like it- you can quit!” But why not work together to make it better for everyone?
You and your coworkers have the power to stand together to make real change.
If you have concerns about your workplace, chances are you are not alone.
