It's Solidarity Season: Strike Wave Hits Oregon

Beginning tomorrow morning, five different unions in Oregon will be on strike.  There is no better opportunity for Oregon Labor to come together in solidarity and support every single worker on strike until every group, no matter the sector, wins the fair contract and dignity and respect they deserve on the job.  


The Labor Movement was built by strikes and struggle and together we can ensure the current wave of labor action in Oregon leads to life-changing contracts and a more fair and just economy. We can ALL help do that by  standing together alongside these brave workers at every picket line, every day until we win. 




Here’s a breakdown of which unions are striking across the state: 


  • AFSCME Local 2064 on Strike at Benton County Benton County workers will walk out tomorrow, November 13.  AFSCME is asking supporters who plan to picket to fill out this form and to meet at the Benton County Courthouse when you arrive in Corvallis.  Picket lines will run from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. 

  • BCTGM Local 114 on Strike at Franz in Eugene BCTGM members at Franz are on strike in Eugene, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, until they win a fair contract.  Join them at 1960 Nugget Way in Eugene to show support and walk the line. 

  • CGE, AFT Local 6069 on Strike at Oregon State University The Coalition of Graduate Employees at OSU walked out today at 11:00am and will picket from 10:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday for the first week of their strike.  Please support their strike fund: Venmo @CGE-OSU to donate. 

  • Greater Albany Education Association on Strike at Albany Public Schools This historic educators’ strike in Albany kicked off today in Albany and a rally will be held at 1:00pm today, November 12, at South Albany High School.  Stay tuned for more information about picket locations and times in the coming days. 

  • Teamsters Locals 206 & 324 on Strike at Bigfoot Beverages  Teamsters members continue to strike at Bigfoot Beverages facilities across the state until a fair contract is reached.  Picket lines are active seven days a week, 24 hours a day at the following locations: ➡️86776 McVay Highway, Eugene ➡️715 9th Avenue, Coos Bay ➡️2440 NE 4th Street, Bend ➡️301 Pepsi Road, Winston
